Executive

The Carleton Student Engineering Society is administered by a volunteer group of students with various titles which comprise the Executive of CSES:


President

President - responsible for overseeing the Executive and setting the general direction of the society's affairs. He or she is the primary representative of CSES and its members. The President also deals with most non-portfolio items, such as relations with Alumni and the faculty of engineering.

Vice-President Internal

Vice-President Internal - responsible for all internal aspects of the society. These include elections, the constitution, awards, and the Announce list. The Vice-President Internal is also the second-in-command of the society.

Vice-President Finance

Cindy Coleman

Vice-President Finance - responsible for all financial affairs of the society, including the management of its various accounts and budgets, insurance, and CSES's student group funding. The Vice-President Finance is the third-in-command of the society.

Vice-President External

Hillary Flesher

Vice-President External - responsible for relations with the provincial and national organizations for engineering students. The Vice-President External's portfolio also contains conferences, and charity initiatives.

Vice-President Services

Adrian Bongers

Vice-President Services - responsible for the large majority of services that CSES offers, most notably Leo's Lounge and the Student Group Resource Centre. The Vice-President Services is also in charge of the society office.

Vice-President Publications

Vice-President Publications - responsible for all society publications. These include the handbook, yearbook, and website, as well as CSES' Iron Times newspaper.

Vice-President Social - responsible for all non-academic events that CSES holds. Highlights include the Whirlwind semi-formal, Community Outreach, Comedy Nights, and the Reflections awards banquet.

Vice-President Academic

Vice-President Academic - responsible for all academic events and activites. Most prominently, the Vice-President is responsible for selecting competitors for the Ontario Engineering Competition (OEC). The Vice-President also takes charge of initiatives relating to academic reform within engineering.
